This week we have a colour challenge from Jean, that highlights a new metallic option - copper! And Stampin' Up! gives us 3 amazing copper products: metallic thread, embossing powder and copper foil.
Jean has given us a very elegant colour challenge:
The first thing that popped into my head was to use the Botanical Framelits Thinlits dies, which I hadn't used for a while. For the white element, I went to the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. A Basic Black cardstock base completed the third requirement.
As a finishing touch, I added Basic Pearls that I embossed with the copper embossing powder.
The banner and sentiment are from Thoughtful Banners, stamped with Archival Basic Black and punched with the banner punch.
Here's a closeup of the flowers:

Oh my goodness Gail. What a beautiful card! I'll be CASing this design for sure. The Botanical Framelit dies work so well with the Copper Foil and I love the neutral paper you chose for the background to bring in the white. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny! Please do CASE away!! I think this would make a great annniversary card. Or change the sentiment to suite any special occasion.
