Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #126 - Fiona's Feminine Challenge

Welcome to a new week, a new challenge - and a new look! This week, we have a Feminine Challenge, hosted by Fiona - all the way from the United Kingdom.

I had just received my order of products from the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue and just had to play with them  - especially the embossing paste and new masks.
The brick pattern on the Whisper White cardstockk is done with one of the new masks and some embossing paste I coloured with a drop of Fresh Fig ink.

Once it was dry - which doesn't take long at all! - I stamped the ferns from Butterfly Basics using Lemon Lime Twist. The sentiment is from Wood Words, and stamped with Fresh Fig.

The multi-coloured butterfly is cut from a piece of Glossy White cardstock which I swiped colour onto with Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig ink pads.

For the head and antenna, I cut a piece of the new black mini-sequin trim, tied a knot in it, and attached with a glue dot. Here's a closeup:

The whole image panel is mounted on a cardstock base of Fresh Fig.

    1. You will love it! Between the embossing paste and smearing ink on glossy CS - I don't know which I'm enjoying more. And just had the thought of combining the two on this card.

  2. Gail, great minds and all that stuff... Love the colour of your modelling paste. Wasn't it fun to use! Although I would not have guessed one drop of that new Fresh Fig would turn it such an awesome colour. Love those ferns and, of course that butterfly. Great idea having the antennae made from the mini-sequins. A gorgeous card!

    1. Yes, Heidi! Great minds for sure. I do love how the colour turned out. Fresh Fig is a dark colour, so I just started out with the one drop, and really like it, so stopped right there and went with it.
