I know there are men who like flowers and are avid gardners, but when I think of a feminine theme, I always think flowers first. In this year's Sale-a-Bration offerings, there was a great stamp set and an embossing folder that are a perfect pair. Unfortunately, the stamp set is no longer available. But - the Basket Weave 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder will be available in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue that launches June 1.
For the embossed layer, I smeared Crumb Cake ink on the embossing folder before running it through the Big Shot with Very Vanilla Cardstock. Love the look of an aged basket.
The card base, matting for the focal image, and the butterfly are all Bermuda Bay. The butterfly got the Wink of Stella treatment for some shimmer.
This could make a great birthday card, thank you card, or Mother's Day card.

I'm so loving that basket weave coloured like that Gail. It looks so weathered. Beautiful job colouring the basket of flowers. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny. I love doing that with embossing folders. Happy this one is still available.
DeleteWhat a beautiful card, Gail! I love the way that aged woven background sets off that wonderful bouquet of flowers and pretty basket. It's really too bad that the gorgeous stamp set didn't make it into the new catalogue along with the wonderful EF.
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi. I love that effect. Yes, while it's great the folder carried over, would have been nice to have the stamp set too - it's really beautiful.
